Thrasher magazine has announced that skater of the year 2011 is Grant Taylor. Check out this classic footage of Grant Taylor from the mid to late 90's when he was a grom. The majority of this footage is comprised from old sponsor tapes filmed by Grant's dad, Thomas Taylor, and sent to Volcom.

Volcom's Remy Stratton and buddy of Grant said the following about him "Grant was born to shred. His dad, Thomas, was a pro in the 80’s and into the 90’s he started up his skateshop called Stratosphere, which is still a beacon for Atlanta’s thriving skate scene today. Grant has literally been shredding since day one. Raised in the colorful exciting world of skateboard product, he lives and breathes boarding, and he himself is a product of our industry".
