International Surfing Day, June 19, is almost here and with hundreds of events scheduled around the world, it’s going to be a good one.
This is truly an international event with parties, contests, and madness going down on six continents.
If you’re lucky enough to be in Europe, a major event is on Sunday, June 19 and will take place at the Seignosse Les Bourdaines beach in France. The after party is at the Rock Food Hossegor. The event is all day, and will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. This event features an inter-company surf ‘tag-team’ competition at a surf sport between Seignosse and Hossegor, as well as a surf beach party, which feature table football, beach volleyball, barbecues, and prizes.
Spain also has several ISD activities planned, many of which are in Madrid, which features celebrity pro riders.
In Switzerland, Lake Leman will host SUP taster sessions, environmental initiatives, and wake surfing.
Besides Europe, ISD events are also being held in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, and Peru.
