To watch the northern lights dance across the night sky, while feeling the frosty night air against your nose poking out of your warm down sleeping bag, sensing the presence of the mighty peaks looming on the edges of the glacier you're camping on, might remind you that sometimes the stars align. Sometimes the snow stabilizes for two days in a record avalanche year. Sometimes you find yourself in the midst of northern Europe's finest descents at that time.
